Nicole Alexander-Scott, MD, MPH
Dr. Alexander-Scott completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University Hospital at Stony Brook and then proceeded to complete a combined adult and pediatric fellowship in infectious disease at Brown University. After completing her training, she came on as faculty in both adult and pediatric infectious disease departments. She has been active in teaching at Brown University as well as advising for residents and fellows at Lifespan. During her time in Rhode Island, Dr. Alexander-Scott also served as the medical director of the Office of HIV/AIDS and Viral Hepatitis and an active medical consultant for the Division of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology at the Rhode Island Department of Health. In 2015, Dr. Alexander-Scott took on her new role as the Director of the Rhode Island Department of Health.
