Melinda Delaney, MD
Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics

Dr. Delaney is one of our newest faculty of the Brown Med-Peds program. She completed residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where she completed the UPMC Medical Education Program. Dr. Delaney received her medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where she had a focus in urban underserved medicine. She is originally from southeastern Michigan and completed her undergraduate degree in Biology with high honors at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has a passion for underserved medicine, quality improvement, and medical education.

In addition to being faculty and a clinic preceptor at our Medicine-Pediatrics Primary Care Center she spends one day per week as an attending at the Rhode Island Free Clinic where she hopes to help further develop resident engagement and curricula in the free clinic setting. In her free time she enjoys running on all the bike paths in Rhode Island, traveling, and spending fall Saturdays decked out in maize and blue for college football season.
