Julia Ding, MD
Undergraduate: Vassar College
Medical School: Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University (GHHS)
Julia grew up in New York City and graduated from Vassar College with a BA in Science, Technology, and Society, and a minor in Biology. She found her way to Providence for medical school at Brown and fell in love with the city. In medical school, she was an active member of Spectrum, an LGBTQ student group, and helped lead workshops to better train students to become physician allies. It was the Med-Peds program at Brown that made Julia realize it was the perfect specialty for her. As a resident here, she has been able to explore her interest in gastroenterology and adolescent/young adult transition care, and spearhead multiple projects collaborating between pediatric and adult gastroenterologists.
In her free time, Julia enjoys playing board games, rock climbing, and practicing circus arts.
Post-residency plans: Adult Gastroenterology Fellowship at Boston University
