Erin Baroni, MD

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Erin graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BA in Biology. She moved to Lubbock, Texas, to pursue medical training focused on primary and rural healthcare. During medical school, Erin founded the first Gay-Straight Alliance, which paved the way for students, staff, and faculty to educate and advocate for the local LGBTQ+ community.
At Brown, Erin was awarded an AAP CATCH grant for her work with a local LGBTQ+ youth organization, Youth Pride Inc. She founded the first LGBTQ+ housestaff organization, the Brown Sexual and Gender Minority Alliance (BSGMA), with the hope to further educate healthcare staff and provide a voice for the LGBTQ+ medical community. She is also active in the Clinician Educator Track.
